This prototype, described by Hard Rock as "Pre-Production #2," was offered in the charity auction at the Pindependence pin collecting event at Hard Rock Cafe Washington DC on July 16, 2010.

Year (2009) appears horizontally in silver on right side of sun. At top right of pin is a Hard Rock Cafe logo. At bottom of pin are two horizontal banners. Upper banner is sparkling red with the words "Finish Line" in silver capital letters. Lower banner is silver with the word "Nashville" in black capital letters.
Back of pin says "Limited Edition 300," which is the quantity for the retail version. Prototype quantity is not 300.
